my nails are pretty but since when are these supposed to be $90
The nail polish is super tick, uneven and looks goopey. I told the nail tech before the pedicure started that I wanted a square shape and longer toe nails. He filed my nails super short and super rounded. One of the nails was clearly and obviously crooked. When I asked if he could fix it he tried gas lighting me into saying it was the shape of my nails. Which no, I have had these nails my whole life then I offered to pay for a whole new pedicure with a new tech and they told me my pedicure was fine and there was nothing wrong with it. I will now have to book an appointment with another salon tomorrow.
So I have only recently moved into the area and tried this salon out a couple of times. Due to my last experience I will probably not be back. My experience over the phone is always questionable considering that if a tech answers the phone they always have to pass it off to someone else rather than being able to answer questions asked about service. My first time calling was on a Sunday, I was told it was too booked out for a walk in/ make any appointments & then had to seek service elsewhere. My first appointment I just had acrylic removed. My second appointment I asked for an acrylic overlay on my natural nails. The vibes are always busy. No one really talks, but the techs between themselves which you can’t even join in because it’s in another language. When I have tried to have genuine conversations with the techs it’s met with no replies. Which makes for a very awkward interaction. This last service when I called to make an appointment I was met with attitude when I simply asked what the appointment would need to be booked as considering I got overlay & hadn’t done that before. The phone got passed around and then whoever I spoke to got really annoyed it seemed when I kept asking questions about service. I then come to my appointment(a few minutes late), but then just sat there waiting. My appointment was at 6:30& they didn’t even bring me back for a pedicure until 7:15. They didn’t ask me what kind of pedicure or even give me a price list. Then when the tech finally started on my nails it was 7:48 and they close at 8pm. So at this point I can tell she is rushing and she didn’t even ask if I wanted my nails long or not. She just shaved down all the grown of my natural nails which honestly still has me very frustrated. She mentioned cutting some, but not COMPLETELY FILLING DOWN ALL MY NAIL. Then cut to when I go to pay they charged me $53 for a FILL. Yeah, read that again. A FILL which I was told should be cheaper. So I ended up walking out paying $110 and still tipped. Luckily I pulled extra money out before the appointment. If i didn’t I wouldn’t have had enough. This was completely unprofessional & lack of communication makes for a very bad interaction. Currently you can see where the fill was because I wanted French, but my nails are literally 2 colors & then the French tip. My service was rushed, overpriced, and not even saved with a good interaction. If I was a regular I could partly understand the lack of questions, but again I have only been here a couple of times. Not enough for them to completely autopilot and not ask for what I want considering I am PAYING for a service. Considering all the great reviews from the place, this is very surprising & upsetting. A reply to the owner on 12/05/25: I don’t feel calling would help considering it will probably lead to conflict especially when I even called to book my appointment& the employees just seem to get frustrated on the phone. I also want to point out that at any salon I have been to prior always gives the price sheet for pedicures when you sit down. Again I was not provided that AT ALL. I really don’t care if you have a price list, great. It doesn’t matter when your employees don’t show it to customers allowing them to decide to add services or even preferences considering again that sheet was no where to be found on the walls and when it’s literally the employees job to provide pricing. The fill as your techs explained over the phone was way too expensive. Fills range from $20-40 and it was $50+. So why even get a fill when I am paying the price of a whole new set. That doesn’t make sense. As well as I never got to choose what kind of pedicure considering I wasn’t give the options the tech just started on my nails & the only question asked was what color I wanted. It was a bad experience over all and over priced considering lack of communication. As well as the service for my nails was rushed. Very unprofessional when I made the appointment times to give your employee enough time to work on both my mani&pedi.
I love going to TNC Nails as a regular for years now and I still love them. They do such a great time on my nail designs, no matter what I show them! All of them are wonderful! :)
TNC Nails & Spa is hands-down the best place to get your nails done in Central Pennsylvania! I wouldn't go anywhere else. The nail techs are truly artists. The atmosphere is always welcoming.
